Write for us
Fresh News Review welcomes considered pitches that help general readers examine news language, sources, framing, context or uncertainty. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a finished article.
What to pitch
Propose an original, focused piece that teaches a reader how to notice or assess one specific feature of news. Ideas might examine a wording choice, compare kinds of sources, explain a useful distinction or unpack a common reading mistake. The piece should remain useful beyond a single news cycle.
What makes a strong proposal
Tell us the central question, the main point you would make and why it matters to readers. Include a brief outline, the material or examples you expect to use and any relevant experience you want us to consider. Be clear about uncertainty, limitations and any conflicts that could affect the work.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the editorial option. Please send a pitch rather than an unsolicited full draft. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may ask for revisions or further detail before making an editorial decision.
